Sungay Salt & Pepper pots
A pair of salt & pepper pots hand painted in the Sungay pattern, measuring approx 8cm tall. There is some wear to the black banding and a firing flaw/small nick near one of the holes on the pepper. The salt is marked Newport Pottery, England and has a chip to base.
Sungay: 1932-33. Asters in yellow, blue & green. This pattern was loosely based on Gayday - hence it's name
