A rare very tall Clarice Cliff 613 vase in the Honolulu pattern painted in bright green, red, orange, yellow and black colours. Stamped to base 'Hand painted, Bizarre by Clarice Cliff, Newport Pottery, England' together with a second gold 'Memory Lane' Wilkinson, Burslem, Staffordshire crown back-stamp.
Measures approx 18 - 18.5 inches tall and approx 5.5 inches diameter base with vase tapering down from approx 4.5 inches at top rim
Acquired approx 15 years ago with quoted 'restoration to majority of rim and to the base. Main body and pattern looks free of damage or restoration'. Displays really well with other Honolulu pieces or similar 613 vases in other patterns.
Honolulu was produced 1933-35, depicting stylised trees with green and black mottled variegated trunks with pendulous red, orange and yellow foliage and distinctive green banding with overlaid black lining.
POA : A similar Honolulu 613 vase was sold at auction in the UK during March 2024 for £2,300 hammer (plus buyers premium of 26% - Approx £2,900 total).
