Lynton Preserve - "ballons" shaped abstract pattern
Small preserve pot in the Lynton shape measuring approx 7cm diameter & 8 cm tall hand painted by Clarice Cliff.
Marked to underside Clarice Cliff, Newport Pottery England.
A string of yellow, green & orange oval ballon or fruit shapes run around the centre of the pot with orange & black banding over the honeyglaze. I've coined the phrase "ballons" but any feedback welcome if anyone knows if there was an official pattern name!!
Rare pattern - I've never seen it on any other piece at least in my 40+ years of collecting!
